Dick is a widely experienced consultant and project manager who has worked in the public, private and voluntary sectors in a variety of roles. His strong but informal leadership style enables him to get the best from others, by means of identifying problems and opportunities, creating innovative, efficient solutions and driving new ideas to fruition. Dick worked for many years in the education sector before becoming M.D of SBLN Ltd. This innovative small business played an influential role in the early introduction of Internet technologies to civic, education and commercial audiences - and they were originators of the international CyberSkills programme. Dick still retains a developmental interest in the use of new technologies for educational purposes.
